“Look At Me Now (Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes Cover)” (Right click + “Save link as” to DL)
Oh MY God. This is…. no words. My friends and I are literally obsessed with this girl and her amazing covers (especially this one!!) She’s gorgeous, unique and the talent is indescribable. We definitely have a major girl crush on her. She is so cool and this is maybe one of my favorite covers I’ve ever heard. She raps as fast as Busta Rhymes, and she’s this skinny little hipster white girl…her voice, style, humor, everything… absolutely epic. Obsessed with this.
Also, check out her “Price Tag” (B.o.B & Jessie J) cover. It uses trombone! She’s so creative and talented it’s unbearable.Tags: B.o.B, Busta Rhymes, Chris Brown, Jessie J, Karmin, Lil Wayne
“Voltage” – (Right click + “Save link as” to DL)
Awesome. Concert. Although I was mildly (greatly) distracted by taking pictures the whole time so I could make cool media for you, I got to enjoy SOME of the show, and I have to say it was really good. Sometimes rap concerts can be boring since it’s once guy yelling into a mic. However, B.o.B proved himself quite the performer. He was wild! Jumpin’ around on the amps, screaming, crowd surfing, dancing…you name it. He really put on an awesome, fun show. Personal favorite moment of the concert was when he rapped “Batman Flow” off his most recent mixtape, No Genre. It was CRAZY! He went absolutely nuts and I could barely act professional in the pit because I was so amped up. Also, “Beast Mode” was totally self-explanatory – just BEASTLY. He did some insane covers, like “Kids” by MGMT, which was fast-paced, poppy version that rocked. Actually wait, my favorite moment might be “Voltage”, which he performed with Playboy Tre (the opening act). It was EPIC. Playboy Tre was great too, and I really respected his inspirational speech. However, nothing was as epic as what happened AFTER the show.
Not only did Bobby Ray take amazing promo shots for Jillboard as well as hang with press in the sky room for some interviews, but me and my girls chilled at his hotel after party til’ the wee hours of the morning. That is all I will release about that – but just know it was more epic than imaginable.

Here’s the latest single from Jessie J. You know Jessie from her “Do It Like A Dude” music video that blew up. And if you don’t know her from there, you definitely do know here as the songwriter behind pop smash “Party In The USA” (best. song. ever.) Jessie’s got a really cool, edgy, original style mixed with a super catchy pop vibe. The melody of this song sounds so familiar to me, but I can’t pinpoint it. It’s really fun and happy, with a hint of reggae influence & a great feature from Mr. Bobby Ray. Cool video too. I love rising popstars.Tags: B.o.B, Jessie J
This is a new song from the boys who brought you “Breakeven”. It’s off their new album and I really like it. B.o.B remixed it and threw some rhymes into it, which really completes the song if you ask me. Which, technically, you are asking me, because you’re reading my blog. Right? Good. Great. Awesome..Tags: B.o.B, The Script
B.o.B dropped a new mixtape – yay! Unfortunately, it’s not as epic as his first album. To describe it in one word, I would say “consistent”. Each song is about a 3.5 stars consistently, in my opinion. The lyricism is great as is the rhythm, which is obvious, because it’s B.o.B. However, I’m not thrilled by the production and overall feel of the mixtape. These days, artists treat their mixtapes like albums, so the standards have been raised as to the quality of mixtapes. I don’t thin this mixtape is a good showcase of B.o.B’s overrall potential, like his debut album was.
No Genre features T.I., Young Dro, and J.R. Rotem (Producer), to name a few. There’s some deep songs, such as “Cold As Ice”, which is a good/sad story that you can’t help but get pulled into the lyrics with the outpoor of emotion from B.o.B. There’s a couple duds, and a couple that were pretty good. My favorites are “American Dreamin’”, “Attraction”, “Grand Hustle Kings”, and “Beast Mode”. The first three I mentioned are catchy, and “Beast Mode” is just, well, absolute beast rapping. I would post my top 3 favorites but they are .m4a’s and WordPress
hates medoesn’t take .m4a’s, so check it out for yourself and see what you think: Download B.o.B’s new mixtape, No Genre, here.Tags: B.o.B
