There’s two things I love in this world: lady swag and puns. Also, I love mashups, pop songs, electronic music, and hearing Lana Del Rey sing over Calvin Harris. You’ve heard of The Jane Doze, right? They opened for Erykah Badu at an exclusive Grammy party this month, just played Barstool Blackout Tour at Rutgers this week, and are spinning their way to title of Hottest Female DJs Ever. 43 minutes of heaven on Earth, this mixtape has everything you’d want in a mashup album and more (the “more” of course comes from their lady swag). With a little help from every good electronic and pop song ever made, Girls Talk is already skyrocketing with no signs of slowing. With a feature from DJ Bahler, the collaborated track “Hey, Breathe Out” is a classic Britney/Skrillex mix with a little T-Swift zest. I’m so into this album – the more I try to get away from mashups, the more artists like The Jane Doze rope me right back in. Make sure to download the mixtape on SoundCloud and if you’re in the NYC area, hit up their mixtape release party at the Yotel tonight (details on Facebook)!

I say this too much lately, but I really mean it: Hell to the mother effin’ YES! Now THIS is a mixtape. I’ve been a fan of Bei for awhile, and this new release from him is STACKED with incredible, body-moving production. He’s got an awesome Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks” cover, a couple party tracks (“Bout That Life”, “Rewind (Feat. Rock City)”, and “I’m Ragin’ (Feat. Sam Adams)”) and some smooth, chill songs. This is absolutely good music. He’s also got a Mike Posner feature, which is a great, midtempo song. I love every song on this mixtape! Lot’s of good tunes to go around. Spread the wealth.

I’ve been waiting to drop this one for awhile… Genre hopping hip-hop duo Tron! and DVD just released their brand new mixtape, ADVENTURE TIME! The brothers’ jam-packed mixtape is poised to infuse the blogosphere with killer songs that range from hands-in-the-air party tracks to heavy, dirty hip-hop jams.  Mastering the art of sampling, Tron! produced many of the tracks on ADVENTURE TIME, saturating the 19-song mixtape with Florence and The Machine, Fall Out Boy, Matt & Kim, Dev, Muse and more. Brooklyn is sure to welcome these hipster-hop sounds with open arms.

“RUN”, which samples Florence & The Machine’s “Dog Days Are Over”, is a personal favorite of mine alongside “This Is All Me”, the feel-good, yell-it-aloud hip-hop version of Matt & Kim’s catchy, high energy hit, “Block After Block”.

If you’re into Hannah-Montana-backpack-wearing college students’ party hip-hop, with a splash of creativity and alternative influence, you definitely need to download Tron! and DVD’s new mixtape, ADVENTURE TIME, on datpiff.com!

In a suburb far, far away, Tron! & DVD find themselves stuck in an alernate reality, traveling through different genres, rapping through sticky situations and battling fierce villains. Take a leap into their world and experience a journey like never before…

This possibly has the coolest intro to a mixtape ever. I’m so excited about this! Our ears haven’t had a full-length release from K&1L to feast on since 2009′s …Fading Back to Normal! Sponsored by DJ Whoo Kid of Shadyville Entertainment and hosted by DJ J. Cash, What Model Are You? features guest appearances by G. Curtis, Chris Webby, Radical Something, Missy Modell, Jupiter Ace, Man-u-iLL and Daniel Feldman. You may recognize a few of K&1L’s previous singles on the mixtape, as well as some new jams. “Happy Hour” is one of my personal favorites, cause it’s an awesome twist on The Office theme song.

But wait, there’s more! What Model Are You Pt. 2 is already in the works! Download the full-length mixtape above on Kinetics & One Love’s website for some ear noms.
