    “SHYAHBOI” – Jay-Z
What, Jay-Z? I’m there. The Glitch Mob? I’m even more there! Carlos Serrano, an amazing mashup artist who caught my attention with his Adele/Daft Punk masterpiece? SO MUCH THERE IT HURTS. Honestly, if I didn’t know both of these songs before this mashup, I would have been convinced they were made for each other. Jay-Z’s stripped vocals to his iconic song fit wonderfully in sync with The Glitch Mob’s infectious beats. It’s as if God came to “99 Problems”  and said “Bro, imma need some ribs or whatever” for its Eve-counterpart “Fortune Days,” and then Carlos Serrano was given the task of combining the two for the perfect ear-child.  Seriously. It’s that smooth. So please, PLEASE listen to and play this song as much as possible. JESS OUT!

Oh my goodness, music is just making me so happy today! Here’s a song I can have a good time listening to when it’s just me and five friends and we’re walking in town and on the playground and there are butterflies and candy flowers and unicorns and…. k.  Really though, The Jane Doze never fail to impress me.  For a mashup of songs I have never heard before (except “Sweet Disposition”), I am thoroughly pleased. Thoroughly. Thoroughly pleased.  The song is so smooth and I like that for once.  Usually I like songs with unexpected plunges but this song has that vibe that you only find when you’re in a Build-A-Bear Workshop.  If you would excuse me, I’m going to fall asleep to this gentle track and imagine myself in a field with butterflies and unicorns and maybe some bubbles.  Bye.

Hai guyz.  I’m alive.  So, I know I’m like a week late with this album, but in my defense, I was not near a computer for the past few days as I was in Maryland.  BUT BEFORE YOU FREAK OUT (like that), I’ll have you know that SRV’s album was on repeat all day er’day.  Let’s get to the juice of this awesomeness… Read the rest of this entry »

What’s that sound?  Nope, that’s not the sound of bricks falling from the sky.  That’s the sound of your heart pumping out of your chest.  You might want to check that out… Or you could let it go and find yourself in HEAVEN (that was clever, right)?  So here are two incredible DJ’s blending the pop classics “Heaven” and Listen to Your Heart” with bass-exploding beats and I could not feel more alive.  Like, WOW!  I never thought someone would remix these songs because they’re already engrained in everyone’s heads, but dang diggy dang am I impressed.  There’s a little bit of Dev, a little bit of Tyga, and a little bit of piss on my floor but hey, I don’t really care.  How about you listen to your heart, better yet, listen to your eardrums, and buy this song.  A little eargasm everyday?  Please.

ROAAAAAARRRR! I WANT TO ROAR ABOUT THIS. I want to run through the streets roaring at strangers out of pure uncontrollable vocal excitement. I saw this in the submission box and I’m so glad I did. A simple yet effective mashup of dubstep hero, Porter Robinson, with… drum roll please. THE SPICE GIRLS. Spice. Girls. Wubstep. POW POW POW roar roar roar. Slay. I’m just saying words now. I don’t know anything about this track outside of its sheer beauty. Maybe Spice proves “If U Can’t Dance” by the Spice Girls is still relevant. Effing YES. This was probably the worst post I’ve ever written. I’m embarrassed. Bye.
